FNB immediate payment?

Okay I just checked, it's either not there any more, or it only appears on the second page after filling out the details and clicking pay... Please check second page.

I want to kill FNB. Guess what FNB? The one thing I actually need you don't do but all the other banks do!

(I just found express clearing on business banking, yet the other banks in this scheme all provide it to all their clients - including Capitec by the way.)

Odd, I don't see it anywhere either and it used to be there.

There is a field for express clearing after I finish with the payment but no option before. They also only provide stop payments to Private clients and above.

And they are really not on the ball; the reason I am sitting in the middle of the night trying to make an immediate payment is because they did not switch the debit orders as we filled out on their web form (one of their big selling points in advertising) and now I need to try get money into the old account before the debit orders are reversed and we are charged exorbitant fees.

I do express payments from fnb all the time and they had that functionality long before absa not a pc now so can't check but the check box was there on Tuesday

Would agree with this. Have seen it for sometime now. Do not use it much though. Nice to have in emergency.

Under the normal payments screen, most of my recipients has the "Pay & Clear Now" option. On the once-off payments tab, it is between the Account type and Recipient reference options.

I logged in just now to look for it.

FNB definitely does offer express clearing. It costs R50 additional. I see it on my account everytime I make a EFT payment.

The option to express clear will be there under "pay recipients". if its not there then you are probably paying money to another FNB account, which is a transfer and with this you dont need the express clear because FNB to FNB is immediate.

Wow, that is amazing. Not only do I not have FNB to FNB payment clearing immediately between my husband's and my account but there is definitely no express clear option on any payment screen I have ever used on FNB's online banking.

The service from FNB so far has been unbelievably shocking.

The "Pay and Clear Now" column seems to be back for me.
