FNB Private Banking

I live close to the airport, so I can pop in there a few times a month as an "outing" :D

You have to have a plane ticket to get to those lounges.

However, I think that Private Clients do get access to Slow in the City lounge

Thanks. I can always downgrade if I don't get what I want out of my personal banker. I enjoyed having a 1 on 1 with them as they usually sort me out quick. But when it got to the "pool" of Platinum bankers, Peter doesn't know what Paul said/promised.

At the end I was just signing documents to get a credit card and afterwards realized the ridiculous interest rate they put on, which wasn't what was discussed. Nor was my straight or budget the figures. They basically just smeared off a cc on me even though I had very specific intentions behind it and very specific requirements they had to fulfill first.

So if an actual private banker could organize that crap and not BS me, awesome

I am on platinum - I dont have to deal with a pool of consultants. Every single time I have had a query (logged through internet banking), it only ever gets answered by the same person. Even when i sent an email to the ebucks desk, the same lady called me back even though she is not on the ebucks team.

How are you logging your requests?

I honestly don't even see the benefit of my Private Wealth facility besides a credit card interest rate of 10% - will be moving to Investec soon given that they are a "proper" private bank - FNB is currently in the process of bumping a lot of people in order to seemingly increase their banking fee revenue earnings.

I'm on Platinum and have always only had a named (formerly known as) premier banker. I've held off on upgrading to Private Client as it seems it would make no difference in my life.
