How sophisticated is their Internet banking? From what I saw in the past, it doesn't compare feature wise with the big 4, especially ABSA

I felt the same way about my private banking account. It was a total waste for me. I downgraded all the way to a gold account, and I honestly feel I got nothing extra with a private account. Not even ebucks seems worth it to me anymore after they changed the structure quite a bit.

If you are actually going to use the banker and all the extra's, then I suppose it might be worth it. But for me, it wasn't.

I'm going to do the same now as well. Since I cancelled my credit card there has been near zero ebuck earns for me and I never fly.

Yeeeea, from what i understand you gotta earn a certain amount, or have above X balance in your accounts to join Investec... dunno how true that is, but few guys here at work bragging about them going there put me off it. I dont wanna be part of an elistist club thanks, just want fair banking for the little people.

Isn't this the point of private banking? The value is being able to tell other people that you have a private banker. Luckily I'll never be willing to spend money on that.
