FNB Private to RMB Private - worth it?

RMB does have their own app and their own website ( )... dont try "upgrade" from FNB to RMB.. as for me a few years back that just created a new bank account and new account number - which I didnt want.

Email RMB ([email protected]) and request an upgrade from your FNB account to RMB - so that your account number stays the same, no need to move/ change debit orders. Strangely enough depending on what credit facilities you have they get re-opened under RMB on your credit profile and the related FNB one is "closed" but the account numbers are duplicate.. strange. So for a good couple months it showed that I had double the available credit facilities.. which was bizarre.

Anyways you can read further back on this forum for the feedback I provided on our journey.

Goodluck.
I emailed RMB on 9 September 2025. Just got a reference number, via an auto-email. However, I have not received any response. How long is their usual turnaround time?

I received a call from an advisor that they can do the migration from FNB to RMB. With the migration there is not change to account numbers, etc. everything stays the same. Only change is the bank, banking app, banking website.

Edit: I was considering moving to RMB. However, due to FNB f-ing up the eBucks changes as from 1 November 2025, I will not be doing that anymore. Something, I thought I will not do is looking over to the competition...Discovery. However, with this recent change this is being heavily considered.
