I'd like to hear your experiences in using the FNB Share Builder platform. Or recommendations if you have experience on other platforms that's been positive.
South Africa’s biggest forum. Discuss, discover, and connect with thousands of members.

Thank you, I'll check these out and let you know how it goes. I was thinking about EE but because I bank with FNB, I thought it may be best to keep everything consolidated.I was strapped for time when responding earlier.
Big EE thread is here.
Someone's negative experience here.
There are also loads of other threads about EE, so it might be best to search the forum if you want more info.
Another great thing about EE is that if you are part of their Thrive program, you pay less on brokerage fees, so I try my best to stay part of the program.

But, that being said, three years ago I dumped all my local shares and investments locally. I have moved most of my investments abroad or into Forex...
It was great if you intended to buy shares every month and hold on to them for many decades
Sorry to barge in here... but what platform / broker did you / are you using for this? Still EE?
I am using InteractiveBrokers. Not cheap. I had to deposit US$10,000 to open an account. But since moving all my investments there 3 years ago, I have not looked back again. My portfolio grew at tremendous rates, rates you will never see locally.

Would be keen to find out if they plan on opening this up to even more markets going forward. Anyone know?
