FNB Smart Device's Complete rip off

I see FNB have added the new iPad 6 to their smart devices page.
Yet I am horrified by the price they charging.

iPad 6 128GB Wifi is R375/pm for 24months.

This iPad costs R6999 @ iStore

This works out to an interest rate of 25.5%

How the hell do they justify this price??

Yet the iPad Pro for R699 works out to only 11% interest.
 
Dude, no one is forcing you or anyone to buy...

I agree. I would like to think that people in the forum here will be savvy enough to do their homework before taking the plunge. That said, this is probably meant to be a caveat emptor.
 
Fnb smart devices was only worthwhile a good few years ago where the price was heavily subsidised. It has not been worth it for about 4/5 years now.
 
Ja I've never quite understood this because at the very same time they also have the FNB Credit Card + iStore promotion running and then at the same time you can also just get it directly from iStore at R326 p/m if you really wanted to go the credit route.

But then you would need to take out an additional "credit card" with additional monthly costs and account fees.

Yeah there is that I see their monthly fees are R35.31 so you are basically back at the FNB pricing then.

But with the FNB Promotion it gets loaded onto your FNB card's budget facility and has a trade-in value etc so that still might be a better deal than getting it direct from FNB.

Or the people earning 100% back on the smart device :crylaugh:.... The only reason I'm looking at getting a device through FNB

you only get 100% back on their own devices by the looks of it.
 
Not if you Private Wealth. If you level 5 on PW. You get 100% of your Smart Device payment back in ebucks. Max R500/pm.
I took out an iPhone 8 Plus with them for R799/pm and get 5000ebucks refunded every month.
So I was looking at getting an iPad on the wives account seeing as its free....
