FNB Smartphone/Tablet Special

Ditto. I was reading another thread about the iPad's (read Apple ecosystem) dis-advantages, and I didn't like what I read.
 
Received the call from UTI just after 17h00.

If all goes well I will have it by tomorrow 14h00.
 
I smsed them yesterday and got a call at like 19h30 last night. The problem is my phones battery died half way trough the call. Now im waiting to see if they are gonna call me back or just ignore me and go on to another client
 
Just received a call from UTI that they want to deliver my HTC Wildfire.
Only problem is that I ordered an HTC Flyer.
Now to get everything sorted out.

Also received the before mentioned SMS. I'm preparing myself for another 2 week wait. Swell.

Just got a call from UTI

They will deliver next week Tuesday

Dnt know if I should get excited now or not
 
Just took delivery. Whoop Whoop.

UTI Driver says he does over 50 iPad deliveries per day now. And he just does the Menlyn, Waterkloof, Lynnowod and Prtetoria CBD Areas.
 
Still waiting for my delivery. How long does it take? The Lady at FNB said 7 working days.:cry:
 
just sent my second sms, let see if they phone back and if i can get another product off the list

I sent my sms yesterday and got called last night, UTI just phoned me about 45min ago and they are delivering to my area on
Tuesday

I have a Gold Credit Card with them but not sure if they class that as Cheque. Will try anyway and see how it goes. :-D

Wife got one, sms'ed the night the special was announced on MyBB and got it last week sometime...
 
Seems someone at FNB made a cock-up of my order, and the couriers contacted me last Friday, asking whether there was someone at home to accept the HTC Wildfire.
Unfortunately I had ordered the HTC Flyer.
I have spent a frustrating 2 days on the phone trying to get everything sorted.
On Friday I was promised that the correct device would be delivered this morning (Monday). (Voice logger supports this.)
Today I get told that a new order has to be placed, and that it will take another 7-10 working days before the device will be available.
Various calls to the FNB Direct sales department get me nowhere, which the FNB Direct dispatch centre keeps asking me to call the couriers directly to get info on possible dispatch dates.

2 of my contracts are expiring at the end of this month, with one more at the end of December, and another at the end of January.
At the moment it seems a better option to cancel the FNB deal, and then get a tablet as an upgrade, together with a small data bundle.
