I have been taking fnb's atm loans every month for the last 4 months. Normally i repay the loan on the 28th of every month and then before the 5th i take the loan again. I have been trying to take up the loan this month but up until now, i was unsuccessful. When i went inside the bank to see why they said that im not scoring on the itc. How can that be possible? I have always paid the loan back in time and never had any problems before. Why am i not scoring high enough with itc all of the sudden if nothing has changed? Why is the loan not available to me this month? Please help!!!

Because is seen as a payday loan, ITC and banks think you are living above your means.

How do i fix it? Should i make sure i take less everytime to make sure it goes down every month? Will the loan be available again? And when? I urgently need R3000 to cover my expenses for this month, will any other place help me? Who? Please i never knew this and now im in alot of k*k because of it!

Get your finances in order is one way to fix it. Your patten suggests you're living above your means. Which is why it was declined this month. Try Wonga.com - however if its been marked on ITC; then I think you're SOL.

try pep stores

or Cash Crusaders....

Everybody including Tom, Dick and Sally are offering month-to-month loans....

You cant take more than one temp loan in a month. Also, the amount they offer you keeps getting less each month because they see you are doing a trend.

Nah. Scores by themselves are not indicative of whether a lender will give you money. As long as you can afford the credit, by a CPA mandated calculation, you can get a loan.

Try getting a revolving loan or some sort of facility. Why you'd even take up FNBs offer of a temp loan, when payday loans are some of the most expensive around is mind blowing.

It could be one of four things:

1. You took the loan too many times, they regard that trend as becoming a bigger risk so the system disabled it for you (maybe it might become available in a month or three again, after a "cooling off period")

2. Something negative happened on your credit profile (someone listed you, for not paying other bills, or maybe fraud/identity theft on your name...check your credit report), and now their systems have picked it up

3. Technical glitch on their side (small chance, but possible)

4. They maybe allocated funds for temporary loans to other customers (because as I remember it, some people will have the option on their cellphone or internet banking, but others not...they give you the option randomly...maybe they feel you had many turns so other people get a chance now)

In the end, I am only speculating, and trouble is, unless one of the members on myBB is an actual FNB employee with sufficient insight in their systems, it doesn't help to ask us...we couldn't say and don't know why you can't take it out this month.

My advice, to echo others', is to make a plan to get those funds another way and stop the pattern...you would save a lot on interest too in the long run.

I used to get these Temp loans for the eBucks points about a year ago. Was only able to do it for 3 months and then the next month it was not available.
I made a few calls to FNB and all I could find out was that the temp loans are in no way guaranteed monthly, it does have some "randomness" built in. All they could suggest was to try again a bit later. Soon after the rules changed and I haven't tried again.
If you get more concrete info, please let us know.

Also got for 3 consecutive months, next 2 nothing. Then again, then nothing. Fickle.
