So I'm on the highest ebucks rewards level which means one of my benefits is free 4mb uncapped.

For what its worth, dont even bother. Its not even worth the price.

My downloads never went over 60kbps. I switched back to my afrihost 300gb account and suddenly im getting 400kbps again

How many eBucks you earn every month if I may ask.I wanna know if its worth the effort try to earn them

Well they state everywhere that p2p is heavily shaped. if you got the account for that, you only have yourself to blame.

Quite pathetic on them then.

Just left Openweb, what is the best option nowadays?

Only do about 50gb p2p all on usenet and then just the usual. 4mb line.

Might as well grab a Web Africa account. Especially if you keep your p2p usage for after midnight.

Normally in the mornings and then runs through the day

You would save yourself a lot of headache by using the 0:00-6:00 window to p2p, then IS (Connection, Plugg, WA) is the best. No ISP's like people torrenting during the day, unless you're on Axxess or AH business, but then they have to take away from others to do that.

Ok will give them a go.
What are speeds like when limited?

Fullspeed after 5pm, limited (shaped/throttled) between 8am-5pm weekdays, to what extent relies on your star rating. Anything below 3 stars shaping gets pretty bad.

If you're only using 50GB, why not try capped? I'd suggest Afrihost's 100GB Capped for R199. Use the internet whenever and however you want. I get full speeds on everything I do all the time. None of the after hours nonsense.

How's FNB Uncapped for netflix etc?
I should qualify for a free account from this month... R400 per month saving is not to be sneezed at.

I will be testing this from next month. Too cheap to ignore (as in free).

I thought there would be threads on this already :P

I got the 4mb uncapped with them...

It used to work really good, but recently im having issues with netflix and hulu... Youtube works but i think they blocking the others... I swap to my afrihost capped account and everything works fine...

I'll let you know how it goes after a few days... I've been using the account for the last 3 months and was happy until this point... BTW, p2p is really crap... Rather have another account for that... I got the AH capped 30Gig... All in all i pay R250 for 4mb fnb uncapped and R129 AH capped for downloading... Still saves alot from the business accounts with ISP's

What backbone does FNB uncapped use? How are the Cape Town people finding performance?
FNB Connect has their own IPC links, so they also set their own rules for shaping/throttling ect.

FNB Connect only has links in JHB, so for me from Cape Town, I don't use it for playing games, for that I use a capped account. Everything else however, goes via my FNB Connect account, which is downloading (shaped as it is) browsing streaming ect.
