Hi,

I was wondering about something

FNB markets and advertises that as a private client, your private banker will assist you.

For this, you pay 500 bucks a month.

What happens of you send emails to your banker and they ignore it? Is FNB failing in the undertaking?
(Although I do not have money and time to sue, just for interest), how come no one took them to task for false marketing? What steps can a person take?

Banking ombud? Report ads they have as not being true to that advertising authority?

You dont pay R500 for a banker. You pay R500 for a black card That has "Private client" written on it. Downgrade to gold/Premium, Private banking is as old fashioned as cheques when you clould simply do every thing on your own on the APP>

In simple terms you are talking about contract law. You agreed to pay for a service that FNB must provide. If they do not, you should be able terminate the agreement without prejudice.

However before you go all Attila the Hun, have you tried to call, or even go in see in person, the private banker? Could be that your emails are not reaching them. Happened to me a few years ago. My email was flagged incorrectly as Spam by the companies email system.

I personally haven't had any issues.

I also normally initiate contact via the in-app messenging and not email. I find email slow.

Have you tried the other avenues? If not, perhaps do that.

Moving across to RMB was the best decision of my life! You should request the move via the Secure Chat option.

My FNB bankers changed 3 times in 2yrs and I had enough. Moved across to RMB and haven’t looked back. The app is the same (except black and orange) plus all your account numbers stay the same, except your credit cards.
