foglight help

I cannot wait to see the reaction when I drive around Cape Town with my fogs on!! ;)

The CT guys seem to be the main anti FL group on this forum. :p
 
Lol, I never drive with my fog lights on purely because Audi didn't feel the need of putting white fogs on a car with xenon headlights, so the colours are completely unmatched
 
I just think "Oh great, another retard who can't afford a car with day time running lights"

Getting back to what I have said before...;)

Fogs are designed NOT to be bright, so will always be mismatched with Xenons...;)
 
Would it help or get me help if I changed the title to "driving lamp help" ? I need the extra lighting because I live in a rural area and do a lot of night time driving. Lately there has been a lot of heavy, night time fog and mist in my area (Butterworth and Idutywa in the Transkei). The extra lighting helps you identify hazards from a long way off (stray animals, drunk people or just cars that have no lights on). Ideally I would love to have my fogs on their own circuit so that when driving at night I can simply have my park lights and "fogs" on without getting glare from the headlamps. My original question was whether a bigger battery would be needed or not.
 
What is the wattage of the 2 lamps you want to fit to the car ?.

You're going to be blinding a lot of people....

Standard lights are carefully leveled (well should be) whilst fog lights have zero aim...they just blast light everywhere, which is OK...if there is fog. Hence fog lights. :wtf:
 
If Nightbreakers aren't doing the job by themselves then your headlights need to be adjusted.

Wrong.
Next time you're in fog turn on your brights and watch the world disappear behind a wall of white glare.

Fog lights shine flat and outwards to illuminate the kerb and if possible get under the fog.

With my last Uno I just stuck a 2n'd set of 12v halogen bulbs into the reflector (drilled some holes into the reflectors and used some rubber plugs I fitted the fittings into ) and wired these to the normal lights wiring.

Better normal light and still adjustable with your other lights.

I know :) . Just pointing out that some tools actually think it works/looks cool/whatever they use to justify it.
