Notalgia trip for me. That is the year I got married and at that time working for Safmarine. Had a Beetle that exact same colour, but no bumper over-riders, extra lights or chrome on the engine intake. It was strictly a company car

R 17k is I think worth it. Scrapyards have mirrors or Beamish Fibreglass can direct you to one

Agree - my gran had one the same colour - the 1300 model. Love the Kombi though...

Its new home is in Buffalo Flats but the kid is serious about keeping it in that condition... so there will be no mags and tinting happening there.
