I thought Paraguay played superb! They never allowed Spain on the ball, well for the first 20 minutes they didnt, after that they started to sit back and never had the ball. Portugal gave the ball away due to Spain's pressing game.

Germany is yet to meet a team that presses high up and keeps the ball in midfield for very long periods of time. England played kick and chase football, always using Cashley and Johnson to be their main outlets of attack, Argentina have a insanely weak defence and their midfield got thumped by Germany's.

I do not read too much into Germany's win over Argentina and England. Many teams at this World Cup would have thumped them.

You going on about the midfield game, Bafana plays a very good midfield game, but no goals, same like Spain, very little goals!! Almost all have been second half late goals and Spain just defended. Except for the Swiss game :p

Spain has yet to play a powerful team in this competition, these young Germans are going to pull out all the seams... :D
Get ready for the Blitzkrieg!! :)

Sure going to be a cracker. I think the Germans have not playes a powerful team as well.

Bafana doesnt have a good midfield game - LoL

Everybody expects Spain to win 4 - 0 or 5 - 0. When they win 1 - 0 then suddenly they are not in form or something is wrong. When their main striker for the past 4 years is the only one who scores, then suddenly they are not playing well.

I wonder how well Germany plays when they dont get the ball for long periods and when they do get the ball, they get pressed by 10 Spanish players forcing them to kick the ball out of their own half.

So, Argentina (many peoples' favourites to win the WC before and during the tourney) aren't considered a powerful team now?

I honestly dont rate this Argentina or England.

Like half the world don't rate Spain due to their lucklustre performance against Switzerland, Chile and Paraguay.

For the last 3 matches the gameplan of Spain has been: Xavi, pass to Ineista, pass to Villa, back to Xavi back to Villa, Villa tries to score! Oh no they lost the ball run back, Busquet or Alonso wins the ball or Puyol trip over himself and gets the ball back. Start again, Xavi, Ineista, Villa. THe alternative attack would be Ramos to Torres to Ramos cross to Villa!

Seems like half of the world is WRONG because Spain is in the final of the World Cup.
