Hi there, I recently purchased a Ford Fiesta ecoboost powershift and was just wondering about the fuel economy. I've only had it for about a month, but it seems slightly higher than I expected. One of the reasons I bought it was for the fuel economy. It's the ambiente so I don't have a fuel consumption reading. I've had to work it out myself and it seems as though I'm getting 8km/l combined... i know this is quite subjective and has everything to do with driving patterns but I would really like to know what sort of consumption everyone else is getting?
 
My 1.5l Ecoboost Fusion is an amazing car. Apart from consumption.

You can check out Fuelly and compare your consuption with others. It sounds like your range is about 336km? (42l tank I presume) that is oddly low. How long do you have your vehicle for?

That seems high. I get that or better on my ST. And I have a heavy foot
 
Are you maintaining good tyre pressure on all your tyres? And does your daily trip include highway driving? As that can make a huge difference.

My car is at 7.7l/100km, range is around 650-700km on a tank depending on how and where I am driving. Highway driving can bring it down to 6l/100km and increase range greatly.
 
VW Polo tsi averaging 5.5L/100km.

Or 18km per litre

Oh wait. He's talking about 8l/km not 8l/100 km. That's extremely high then. I get 12.5km/l or better with my ST

Go check on Fuelly and start using it to track your fuel ups.

8l/100 combined is pretty decent in my book.

But if it's still being run in it could decrease after the first proper service.

I'm more shocked that a modern car doesn't have this stuff on the dash...

I've got the Ecoboost Titanium Fiesta, manual gearbox, 92kw spec. 2014 car.

I average 6l/100km or less with 60% highway driving.
 
Your fuel consumption will come down after a couple of 1000 km's. Give it chance to get run in. On my ST my consumption dropped a lot after 10 000 km's. Currently averaging 6.6 l/100km.
 
8km/l is 12.5l/100km... I'd say that is not just slightly high for a Fiesta ecoboost... It's very high. That's what I get out of a 2 ton SUV based off 1990's technology... You should be getting better than 8l/100km I would guess. As for the engine still being run in, it would be a factor, but I'm not sure it would play that big of a role.
 
Hi guys, sorry for the hijack.. I'm currently looking to buy a fiesta ecoboost powershift, just wanted to know what mileage do you guys get on full tank of fuel? Mixed driving as well freeway/highway?

You looking at old or new one.

Old one well known for problems with the gearbox, ford recently had to pay money in AUS for selling that crap :P
