Ford Figo Gearbox Dissenged

Hi All,

This morning while driving my Figo I geared down and the gear lever went "floppy".

There was no grinding or crunching but now I can't get into any gear. No other issues with the car.

Can anyone suggest what the issue might be and what could be done to fix it?

I tried to see where the gear lever engages with the gearbox but could not spot it.

See this thread, it's the linkages, start at the gear lever and work your way towards the gearbox, something came lose.

Thanks for all the links Champ. Had a look and definitely seems to be the issue.

As per the video you posted. A rubber bush trimmed down to size, some washers, a grub clip and a little grease and I am back on the road.
