Ford Figo

We drove the Figo and the Getz today - my mom found the Ford much nicer to drive.

We've pretty much decided on the Ford, now we must mission to find a used red one.

go with the Getz, nicer than the Figo. Picanto feels like driving a plastic cup. i10 is ok, every second student car is an i10 these days.

They taking the gap that VW left when they stopped the citi golf

Have you driven the new Picanto?? It really can't be compared to the old one (which wasn't half bad). If you are referring to the new one I don't see how the one can be ok and the other a plastic cup when they are pretty much the same vehicle.

The Getz is old tech and replaced, avoid unless you get a super deal.

Pooks test drive all cars mentioned and take it from there.

think there is a special on the Getz - Demo models - R1799 a month. No baloon, no deposit.

Picanto 1.2 > Figo 1.4 IMO

Maybe so, but that Picanto - we looked at it; the boot can fit probably an ice cream tub in it it is tiny! Also the 1.2 is more expensive than what we payed for the Figo. The Picantos back looks nice but we really didn't like the front.

Its all down to opinion and we found the Ford looks nicer.

This is the car we are receiving next week hopefully Tuesday!

Thinking of putting these wheels on, what do you think? Any other suggestions? (It uses 4/108)

Just leave the stock wheels like they are. You'll have more style AND save yourself the money

They are both good cars so its up to you, test drive both and take it from there.

Basically:
Figo = Bigger, more subtle styling, made in India, Builds on the Fiestas good name in S.A.
Picanto = newer, more powerful, more economical, better interior, more features (bluetooth, alloys, climate control etc), made in Korea.

You talking about a car that is made in a country that Samsung is made

Normally I'd agree with that statement but the Figo has steel wheels with hubcaps... I'd definitely change those.

If the Figo had alloy wheels I wouldn't change them, but hubcaps I really dislike.

Dont underestimate the Korean Cars

I wasn't.
I drive a brand new Korean car.

I mentioned where both cars are made to point out where the ford is made (India - most people don't realize this).

Big wheels on small city cars is just a plain no...

All bark and no bite. you might has well change the exhausts pipe's diameter to that of a 2 litre coke bottle, 'cos that also looks cool.
