Does anyone know of a way to open a regular US/UK/EU bank account while in South Africa?

I know the local banks can help if you earn over a certain amount, but their fees are far higher than I would like.

From South Africa, the only way I know is via the SA banks.
Best bet is to just open them when you are next in the country where you would like an account.

You can skype the bank of Ireland, like I did and open a account from here.

I am currently waiting for the debit card to arrive. Will probably be a while, think its gets send via the post office :(

I am probably moving there later this year, that's why I opened the account with them.
