I change my router's ip, and now after 2 weeks want to record it. I remove DHCP from it, when typing ipconfig/all the network printer also does not show, only the DHCP router does show. Everything works, I just want the make a drawing. I am doing it from a desktop via lan cable. I can go ping 10.0.0. xxx
Is there an easier way.

HTF do you forget that?

any way open up a command prompt and type in arp -a
that should bring up a list of everything connected to your network (sometimes might need to run the command a few times to get a full list )

It would be easier to factory reset your router and start from scratch.

Not a perfect solution, but when I can't find stuff on the network i always resort to Advanced IP scanner - https://www.advanced-ip-scanner.com/.
Plug in your iP range on your network, hit scan, and it'll show brands/IPs of all assigned devices on the network, should make the device you're trying to find a lot easier to locate on the network.

This thread highlights a serious problem we all have, which is a thorough understanding of the absolute basics of network setups. How can we expect to understand all the many variations out there if even the basics are under a cloud of mysticism?
I had a problem yesterday with a very simple printer setup.
I was shocked at the amount of nonsense around about how to go about clearing printer error messages.
In the process, I discovered almost by chance an issue I have had for years with one of my printers, which has been subjected to all sorts of abuse by professional printer repair organisations without resolution.
ALL that was one simple parameter that was wrong in the configuration, which is NOT ever changed by a reset to defaults.

Nope, I’m out.
Don't believe this BS either!
Well, if DHCP is disabled and the client PC has no static IP set in the network range, resetting might be the only recourse. But he also says everything is working so identifying the actual issue is a bit confusing.

Not sure what the OP means. Is he connected to a router with DHCP which is also connected to the router for which he forgot his password?

If everything is working then the router ip(asuming this is your internet router) should be the default gateway ip. run "route print" in a command prompt will also show.

Or ipconfig /all
Or nmap on the full network range

Lots of ways to find it, I just use wireshark and reboot the router. Its IP will show shortly after startup.

The problem was the printer, which I bought second hand, had a ip range, would not work on usb, so network was the only option. So my internet router , I know the address, I wrote it down. The printer, I wrote it down, then the second router, which you guys help me to connect without DHCP, I wrote the ip down, then change it, and told myself , I must write it down somewhere. As I said, the setup works, but I like to record thinks, make drawings for one day. I will try the above advice.
