plz, help me to recover my lost password, currently i cannot accesss some part of my laptop and i no longer have much enjoyment.

plz i need help, i wanna be able to install new features that will best suit my activities and important in work uses.

i have seen some recover a windows password or at least reset it, you can create a boot disk that has some linux goodies on that does it. I know it is not much help but with that in mind turn to google.

There is a tool called Hirenz that contains a password recovery tool.

Its a boot disk that will search your windows directory for a SAM, it can't get you password but you can change it to a new one so that you can use that profile again.

Just google Hirex, download the image (its small) burn it to a CD and boot it up, when you see the menu look for the password recovery option

Yes....
You have to boot up with a linux boot disk,,, Knoppix etc. then you have to chroot into the installation. Then change the password.
I am not going to go into too much detail, as this can easily break your system, or not work.

Not even, boot into GRUB's boot loader for single user and just change it

What password did you forget, exactly? Your Windows Vista password? Your wifi password / key? Your ADSL router's password? The bully down the street's alarm password?

Sure, boot into single user mode, which is normally "linux s" or "linux 1" at the boot prompt. In most cases You'll need to press esc as soon as you see the boot loader menu come up though to get the prompt.
