I've been on this forum on and off from the onset. I asked here many moons ago which ISP would be the best to use for fiber home internet and the suggestion came to use Axxess. I left Jhb in 2021 and lived in the Overberg for a few years where my ISP was a small but effective company. The guys there were absolutely great. I've just returned to Jhb and immediately signed up with Axxess again, only to find that I've stepped back in time to the 90's. What I'm paying for is definitely not what I'm getting. What I don't get is proper support. Look, my days of knowing a lot about IT and tech are over. I am over the hill and I prefer it that way. I pay for a service, so please, explain to me why I'm treated as either mentally challenged or as a super brainy geek who 'should know' what they are telling me to do in their very bad messaging code. I cannot accept that this is the best it is going to get.
I lose connectivity every day between certain hours. The line and router are installed at the opposite end of the house to where the bedrooms and office are. I have bought a second router and only need for them to install a line, and I mean the same fibre line from VUMA with an extension up the wall into the top floors of the house, but no, neither VUMA nor Axxess is able to help me. Computer Hut in the Overberg did this in record time. I had two routers on one line. Why is it so complicated in Jhb. I'm still waiting for transfer of the house and already I have to make peace with the idea that this is a terrible area for any form of WiFi, fibre or not. It wasn't the case when I left all those years ago 2km down the road, so what has changed? And no, I don't want an extender, they simply don't work. I bought another router from Axxess which I still have in a box because I don't have a laptop to install routers and they don't seem to get it. I have a desktop. iMac. 27". There is no way I can carry this thing downstairs willy nilly to sit and sort problems out for Axxess, I am very sorry.
My question is now: Please suggest to me which company would be an option to investigate. Thank you

All you have to do is run a ethernet from router 1 to router 2.. Neither Axxess or Vuma do that, its not in their line or work.

I personally have a bridge WiFi network between my two routers because I didn't want to go into the roof of the house - limits the speed but we downgrades to a 50meg so I get full speed on both.

This sounds more like an internal IT need, the likes of Dial a nerd or the likes would be able to assist you.

Thank you, I will go this route because there is no other way by the sounds of things

We last used Dial a nerd im 2016, I haven't been aware that I can still use them. As I've said, I'm just back in Jhb, I will follow up, thank you.
