That was only said after Alonso said "I would hang my head in shame, if they take this title in the courts, it could damage the reputation of this sport".

Hamilton did not object to his team filing for an appeal, which they did 1 day after, he had made that "brave statement" you quote there.

I think I know what happened to Hamilton in the last race:D : At the start of the race he was already practicing his championship speech in his head. That's when he got passed by not only Raiki but also Alonso. Then a couple of laps later in his dream mode he stuck out his hand to accept his championship and OH **** (he hits the reset button):p

The Singapore GP if I'm not mistaken. Not sure about the lights, it would require design changes on the car to implement headlights, which isn't feasible if it's just for one race. More likely would be floodlights around the circuit.

what would be so different about a circuit fully lit up and driving in the day ?

only thing i can think of visibility would alot less, maybe get like tunnel vision due the light

would it be safe doing 300k's with light?

I think that it's to make up for the time difference of the far east - to bring it to a time that we're used to for all the European GP's

Flood lights do seem like the most appropriate option because if they were on the cars any bumps would take out your lights. Also flood lights would make viewing the race much easier.

PFFFFT!
Sorry, just have to laugh at the idea of the vehicles having lights...

And the cars can have neon trim with white markings.
The track can be lit up with ultraviolet light.

They can have the the race in Parow or Elsiesrivier.
The concept seems to have been tested there.
