I would have like to have seen Hamilton in a Minardi PS01 before I could pass judgement.

Well to my knowledge Schumi's only driven the two seater variety.

Alonso however I have seen in a Minardi PS01 and he shone.

Nope, sorry - I remember Benneton got their act together some time after he joined, I don't believe it was him.
If you believe it was him, then you should be reminded that Alonso got into a Renault (ex-benneton - which was nowhere) and whipped Ferrari's (world champs) butt two seasons in a row with M$ at the wheel of the Ferrari, making Alonso undoubtedly better than M$. Or do you selectively attribute the success of cars to the drivers depending on the driver?

Don't ever quote me as saying Hamilton is another Schumi - he's far better - that earlier slip was a faux... hence my correction

well if a team has a good driver they have a good base at which to start

renault have been champs 2 season's in a row and now that alonso left they are a nobody again which proves my point, alonso has only been gone from renault this season and look at them, they are shocking man

once shummi left benneton did it not go the same way?

drivers make your car without good drivers you have no chance

if you have a good driver for some reason teams seem to get their act together

alonso is as good as shummi that i can tell you, thats a boi who has proven himself, hamilton has yet to prove himself

its nice to see 4 possible winner in 4 good cars, although i do think ferrari have a slight advantage at the moment but that remains to be seen

Fernando Alonso has been penalised by the FIA for holding up team-mate Lewis Hamilton in the pits during qualifying and will have to start from sixth in tomorrow's race. Moreover the sport's governing body felt that the team played a substantial part too in sabotaging its own driver's last run and will not be allowed to take any points away from the Hungarian Grand Prix.

The Kid's got guts, I'll tell you that much. I'm not sure it will help his cause though. They say Dennis and Hamilton have patched up things, but if not, watch this space.
