Seems like Fortnite is gone. Just opened the thread as a wishing well to collect pools of tears of both fans and players who have invested their life savings into the game and are now staring at a black hole. This is a safe place.

It seems it's just a season ending.

I very much doubt they would end such a profitable game.

2 million people staring at a back hole for an hour so far.

Well I guess all the other games like dota, cs, etc, should brace for the sudden interim flood of toxic kids, not that they didn't have any in the first place.

Still being nagged to this day

Just brilliant marketing to hype people up for the next season...

The stream of the black hole has been going for 15 hours and it still has 20k viewers on YouTube and 45k on Twitch.

A think a couple of Fortnite streamers are probably not too impressed because they basically can't work until the update is out tomorrow. One of the top streams on Twitch currently is someone just watching his Fortnite YouTube videos.

If there every was a way to prove that Fortnite is an addiction, this event definitely did that. I have seen videos of kids hitting their screens, people freaking out etc. Weird man.

That's not a Fortnite thing, that's an attention thing, people will do anything to get views or likes, end up on a compilation somewhere, validation of some sort.

My kid was talking about Fortnite ending beforenthe new season while day yesterday. Luckily he was in bed before the black hole event.

He asked me to update Frotnite this morning. I forgot. He's probably going to get home from school and watch a couple of black hole videos.

The Fortnite updates usually happen on Tuesdays iirc, this is probably what he is going to see when he opens the game:
