Fortnite upgrade

Apologies, missed this question, but yes, that is the plan.

Have decided to rather get a new GPU:

Which of these two would be the better buy?

Get the RX 580, just confirm the 36 month warranty with Rebeltech as Gigagbyte lists it as 3 months.

Yeah, PSU is a Raidmax 700w - I should be fine. Only issue I might run into is that I don't have the spare cables.

But sure I could get an adaptor of sorts?

You get mole & sata to 8-pin pcie power adapters,

You can also ask Rebeltech if they have 8-pin pcie cables for your raidmax psu as they stock the brand, you never know...

I wouldn't recommend those adaptors in the first place plus this is listed:

  • AMD RX480/580 - Nominal Wattage 185W - GPU power exceeds cable max power + PCIe x16 Slot Power, do not use with this card

Did not even notice that.

Got the GPU (RX580 8GB) yesterday and installed it along with a fresh Windows 10 install on the SSD and Fortnite runs smooth now on Epic.

Thanks to everyone for the help.

Have an issue with the GPU unstable power supply light flickering, (found a 2x 8pin to 8 pin adaptor - so have 2x 6 pin plugged in PSU with the other side, the 8 pin, in the GPU) so may have to look at a new PSU too. I've spent more than I wanted, but hopefully the longevity of the system has been extended by a bit.

What's the model# details on that 700W raidmax?
