Forza 3

I wonder if the damage model is coupled with the physics. ie. If the handling is affected due to body damage, etc.

its a racing simulator,I dont see anything realistic about driving straight into a wall and bouncing off with no affect on your vehicle whatsoever except a little paint getting scratched off, thats pretty arcade if you ask me...

even when you put it on the difficult setting, cant remeber what its called but the tires wear out and damage has an effect on your driving, you can drive like a caveman and by the end of the race your car is still hitting top speeds. Its still a fantastic game dont get me wrong, just 'I' would have prefered crashing having an actual effect on your car giving you more reason to drive carefully,as it does in reality

Haven't played much Forza2, have you?

Your car won't ever reach the point of crumpling like a Coke can, or bursting into flames for that matter, but you will end up with something utterly unfit to be coaxed around a track. The steering will pull in one direction, the gearbox will grind costing you time on your shifts and you will lose HEAPS of power. Ultimately your car won't get above 20km/h and be completely unable to get up any sort of incline whatsoever...

The thresholds might be a bit higher than on Kyalami on a Saturday, but then it's primarily a game for enjoyment; not one to cause you to throw your controller through your LCD after seizing the engine for the 4th time that afternoon.

Personally, as long as the physics play ball while the car is ON the track, I'm happy...

LOL at the other idiot. Please comment if you actually played a Forza game. Yes dmg effects handling just like in Forza 2.

GG mate. k bi pl0x email me.

no I have never played a Forza game, thats why I waste my time commenting on a thread based on a game ive never played, arguing with supremely intelligent people like yourselves

-I know that crashing has an affect on your car,but its not realistic at all, that was my point "but then it's primarily a game for enjoyment" this I do agree with.
