The attack allegedly happened a week ago in Blackheath, Cape Town, at a carpentry factory near the Mfuleni police station.

Police confirmed that they had arrested the owners of the AC Wendy's factory in Blackheath, and charged them with assault, indecent assault, crimen injuria and intimidation.

The accused will appear in the Blue Downs magistrate's court tomorrow and cannot be named until they have pleaded.

Bulelwa Nkomane, sister of victim Vuyani Nkomane, said that Nkomane was extremely distraught.

"He is not okay, he can't eat or sleep," she said.

SACP district organiser Benson Ngqentsu said that after a meeting with police bosses yesterday, the police had agreed to institute disciplinary proceedings against officers who had refused to open a case on the night of the incident.

But Western Cape police spokesperson Captain Frederick van Wyk would only say that the Mfuleni police refusal to open a case was "under investigation".

Two of the victims, Vuyani Nkomane and Sabelo Npushi, from Mfuleni, near Khayelitsha, agreed to be named.

The attack happened last week after the four, all aged between 20 and 26, went to the factory to look for casual work.

"They arrived early in the morning and were offered a day's work," said Ngqentsu yesterday.

"They worked from 7am to 11pm without a break. When they asked to be paid, their bosses first beat them up and then held them at gunpoint and forced them to suck their private parts."

Under the new Sexual Offences Act, forcing someone to perform oral sex is considered to be rape.

After they were allegedly raped, the bosses named the four "Zuma", "Blade", "Vavi" and "Malema" and demanded to know why black people had murdered AWB leader Eugéne Terre'Blanche.

According to Ngqentsu, the victims' heads were then forced into toilet bowls where they were forced to drink water mixed with urine.

"They escaped and went straight to the Mfuleni police station but the police said that because the perpetrators had guns, they would go to the factory another time.

"They then dropped the victims off at home without opening any case," said Ngqentsu.

The SACP marched on the police station for two days before a case of sexual assault was opened.

Sowetan is in possession of the case number.

Police at Mfuleni station confirmed that a case of sexual assault had been opened, but investigating officer, a Sergeant Gordon referred all comments to Mfuleni spokesperson Captain Muavha, who was not available.

Provincial police spokesperson November Philander said the provincial SAPS office would look into the case and respond later in writing.

Two Cape Town men have been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting, beating and racially abusing four casual workers at a local furniture factory.

The workers, black Xhosa-speaking men, alleged that they were forced to drink urine, that their heads were flushed in the toilet, that they were called “k*****s” and accused of killing AWB leader Eugene Terre’Blanche.

A group of outraged residents from Mfuleni, where two of the workers live, thronged the Mfuleni police station yesterday, where the two men are being held.

Police spokesman Captain FC van Wyk confirmed to the Cape Argus that two men from Kuils River, aged 31 and 35, had been arrested yesterday afternoon after being questioned by police and pointed out in an identity parade by the complainants.

Van Wyk said the men faced charges of sexual assault, intimidation and assault and would appear in the Blackheath Magistrate’s Court tomorrow.

They would remain in custody until then.

He said the two suspects also faced crimen injuria charges.

Van Wyk told the Cape Argus today that the witnesses had originally told police that their attackers were white, but police had later established they were coloured.

The alleged incidents are said to have taken place at a factory in Blackheath Industria last Tuesday night. Police would not name the business or disclose its address.

Yesterday afternoon the complainants’ families, Mfuleni residents and members of the SACP protested outside the Mfuleni police station, saying the police had not acted fast enough.

After the two suspects were identified and then arrested yesterday, three of the four workers who were allegedly assaulted spoke to the Cape Argus outside the police station.

Police said the fourth man had not yet been tracked down.

The three men – aged 21, 25 and 32 – told the Cape Argus that last week they had approached a carpentry business in Mfuleni, looking for casual work.

They said they had been told they could work night shifts, starting at 7.30pm and finishing at 5am.

But on their first night at work, last Tuesday, they alleged that their bosses – who were “nice” at the start of the shift – had started drinking after 9pm.

“Then they changed,” said one of the men.

He said the two suspects had called them “k*****s”, making him feel physically ill.

However, he said he had decided to stay because he needed the money.

Then, he alleged, one of the suspects grabbed him by the hand and led him to an electric saw. “They told me they were going to cut off my hand.”

Another complainant alleged that he had been instructed to turn on the machine, but he refused. He said that when one suspect turned the machine on, he had quickly turned it off.

“So they grabbed me and started beating me and called me ‘Jacob Zuma’,” he said.

At this point, two of the workers – one of whom has not yet been found – fled the factory.

One of the remaining men told the Cape Argus he had been told he was ANC Youth League leader Julius Malema and had been ordered to sing a Struggle song.

The two told the Cape Argus that the suspects had asked why they had “killed Eugene Terreblanche”.

Earlier IOL quoted a Sowetan report that said all four men had allegedly been raped, but the men told the Cape Argus that one suspect had forced one of them to perform oral sex on him.

Saying that the complainant needed to take a shower, the suspects had then allegedly led both men to the bathroom.

Here, the men told the Cape Argus, the suspects had urinated into the toilet bowls and then pushed their heads into the toilets.

“They were still very angry. When I started crying, they laughed at me,” said one of the men.

The two said they had managed to flee the factory at midnight and had run to the police station.

They, other residents and the SACP claim that the police did not immediately register a case.

The SACP’s district secretary, Benson Ngqentsu, and other community leaders met police management to discuss their concerns yesterday afternoon.

“We expressed our dissatisfaction on how the case unfolded.

“But we were satisfied that the two men have been arrested,” said Nquentsu. - Cape Argus

That sounds like quite a mouthfull. Hopefully they'll receive a stiff sentence.

It's really low down and dirty to make jokes about such a touchy subject. You should ease in gently and wait a bit before ramming home such rough humour.

Look I'm just taking this all with a pinch of salt. The guys weren't paid for one. I'm naturally assuming they decided to get back at the employers with false charges. It all adds up.

I can't help but feel that something is not quite right with this story.

More coloureds supporting Terreblanche :wtf: I thought only my grandfather did that.

well the incident occurred never mind the discrepancies ... this is an alarm to show how people are aggrieved by the act of genocide and willing to avenge... what now? maybe more of these are to follow

Genocide of coloured folk? If the perpetrators were indeed coloured then your fail attempt at crackpot theories is fail. Not that your genocide would work even if some racists assaulted some black workers and shouted ET's name, they'd be just another bunch of racist scum who are that way because of in-breeding.

I also think there is something not lekker here. But lets see what the investigation turns up. If it is true...then these men must be locked up for a very very long time.

I am curious though as to how you prove rape if only oral sex was involved? If anal penetration occured, then the hospital would be able to take samples to help the case. With oral what do you go on??? I dont mean to make it sound like it is any less of a offense...just curious how it would work?

Most men does not want to be named, that is why the stats are so low for rape among men.

If true cut their totties off

If not .. cut the others totties of.
