Hi there
I purchased this m/board awile ago, and wanted to use my second 250 gig sata in this machine. The bios detects the hd, BUT WHEN XP setup's, it doesn't detect my HD. I downloaded the foxconn bios thing, flashed it, or whatever the file did, and still it doens't detect my SATA. What can I do please?

Chris:confused:

Xp Setups ? or do you mean starts up ?

Has the drive been used before ? It wont show up on XP if it hasn't been formatted.

1) Use a Windows XP Service Pack 2 or 3 disc, and it should work.
2) If you look around in the BIOS, you may be able to find a setting that puts your SATA hard drives into "native" mode. You might try this too. Just until Windows is installed.

Foxconn maybe the manufacturers of the Iphone, but their motherboards stink. I have had several issues with machines that had them inside that I sourced from PC International.

Some refuses to work with any other brand of RAM than Kingston, and most have major issues with Vista compatibility.
