Hi All,

I am facing an issue at a mobile and fixed line operator where I am the victim of identity theft. Some criminal created an account at the comany in my name and took cellphones and a Huawei device. This was in May. I got the first debit order in June and have sent through the neccesary proof of the fraud from my side as well as an affidavit.

I have been battling to get my case heard at the company now for more that 3 months. I have contacted them weekly, but always get the same answer that they are attending to the case. Clearly after 3 months this cannot be the case.

I am in the process of creating a case at the NCC but do not know how long this will take. I am also considering taking legal action against the company. Can someone offer some advice who have possibly faced a similar situation?

Put a stop order on the Debit Order.....

Then go into the store and basically refuse to leave until its sorted out.

"where I am the victim of identity theft." I hate this statement , Nobody fooled you, deceived you or ripped you off. They went to these providers and fooled them, deceived them and ripped them off, they failed to make sure it was the right person so therefore is should be their loss and their fight. You should practically have very little to do with it. They are the victims, not you. Don't let them forget that.
