Free Alternative to Teamviewer?

So MiddleBornMoose is at a boarding school down in the Cape of Good Hope.

For years she bitched about how restrictive the hostel Wifi is, "You can only use it for emails, research, Facebook and Skype.....", she wailed before adding.... "They won't let me use it for torrenting......I need my series Papa!"

So I set up TView for her and she dials (Old techie talk for logon) into my home PC and using clipboard transfers the file across....

This has worked well, and the oke running their school network has not cottoned on yet.....BUT , Teamviewer are about to and have already disconnected her today....

Of course she blames me........ I worked out that she has downloaded about 6 Gigs in the past week alone...

So before Tview cut us off, is there an alternative...

I was thinking FTP, any other ideas would be appreciated.,.....

We use AnyDesk. Very happy with it.

Also, use Anydesk there is no other alternative really.

If it is just you then Google Remote works well.

I have Onedrive set up between myself and my son in the States. Whenever he needs something , I pop it into his shared folder and he retrieves it or watch it from there. Removes it when done

This or Google Drive, with the sync-client, works wonders. As files are added to the share, it auto-uploads to the cloud.

Plex would suit her needs. Set up a server on your end, make it public, give her login details.

Agreed. FileZilla might also work if she want's to copy files across but just for viewing, Plex should be fine
