Free data ends today?

Hi

Will only be till the end of september if purchased now , so it does not make sense to buy data on the last day of the month (take advantage of upto 60 day rule) .

Regards
VCD

I hear you but I just bought airtime, loaded a bundle and it says it will expire 1 NOVEMBER 2009! :) So that means we can buy loads of airtime today to last 2 months!

I dont want to risk that. rather wait till tomorrow and see what happens. and VCD can't you give us a clue. lol just a tiny one so we can see if it is worth buying data

That seems to indicate that rollover is now a month longer than "the end of the following month". I agree with labratza, wait till tomorrow. Maybe tomorrow the expiry will be 1 December? /holds thumbs

I had ZERO data left before I loaded my 5MB bundle earlier. Then checked the balance and it is 1 November. So unless Vodacom are lying and are expecting people to now go and buy lots of bundles and then change the expiry date back a month (possible) I say go for it. I am going to go and buy more bundles now though. That would just be blatant theft and I don't really see that happening.

lol nothings gonna happen, trust me - i'm frantically trying to download 1.8GB in 6 hours (30 mins left and only at 1GB) cause vodacom is VERY slow tonight - used to get 200Kb/s from rapidshare - now only managing 10-20Kb/s :(

can anyone tell me what happens if I have a GIG left after 12AM? will it stop downloading If i remain connected or will it only stop if I disconnect?

I hope you are using Firefox 3.5 or above because if you loss your connection you can resume the download!

not with a free Rapidshare account unfortunately...

but yeah FF works great - had 20 downloads going on simultaneously - unlike IE that starts to pack up after 4 downloads

I use Opera 10 for browsing and FF for downloading. Opera 10 saves a lot of bandwidth when turning turbo on

my connection is still going? lets hope it doesn't reset for a few more minutes!

VodacomData
