Go to a state hospital. See a doc. Doc will probably send you to a dentist. They will charge you from a few rand up. often it depends on if you are employed, income....

I would rather have my scrotum sandpapered.

lol, id rather have my ball placed under a chair leg and have it go from left to right and then slam down, than have the tooth ache i have now.
now to find a similar student setup in durban:/

Some students may do a better job than some of the "pliers" tradesmen I experienced in the past. Remember they are probably final year students busy with their ...... finals?

AFAIK, Wits School of Dentistry offers free dental work. The obvious catch is that students are the ones doing the work.
I'm sure that the other med schools must offer similar services.

Every major city should have free dentists. I had to take a friend to one the other day. I was actually surprised at the quality of the work. We basically walked in there. He filled out some forms, went STRAIGHT to the dentists chair and had the tooth pulled. No has, no fuss and it was all free. Couldn't believe it.

In East London`s case, you go to Cecilia Makawne Hospital (or something like that). Go at 11. No queues.

approximately 8 teeth would be removed, leaving an absolute gaping mess behind, cant find a similar final year student thing in durbs, well not yet.

furk what have you eaten or are you getting braces or something

other option

take string ...tie to teeth and other end to a weight and pull them out one by one

I'll be happy to go to a final year student - provided they have a final year anaesthetist there as well.

I don't even let a dentist put a bib on me before I'm in deep lala land.

Dental health care is too damn expensive, but I have a few ticking time bombs in my mouth, so I better make a plan.
I emailed schools of dentistry in Groote Schuur, Tygerberg and Mitchell's Plain to find out what dentistry services they offer.
Hopefully I will have good news to report back with. :D

If you in JHB, UJ medical school does training and they need volunteers. It used to be WITS medical school and their work was pretty good.

It only costs time. You pay nada, nothing, ziltch.

You will first have to drink antibiotics to clear the abscess causing the problem before a reputable dentist will pull. My Pharmacist usually give me strong penicillin tabs with Mybulen together.

He's had a good three years to decide on a course of action.
But good advice nonetheless. :p
