Free GRPS Data???

I'm on a Vodacom Family Top-Up package and i use GRPS regularly (my phone dials once an hour to check mail) yet every time i look at my itemised bill on vodacom4me the are no data charges and i have not noticed any decline in my balance...
I have even spent prolonged periods online during the various ADSL blackouts recently and it would appear that i have not been charged a cent for my usage.

Am i just really lucky - or have other people seen the same on their bills?
 
are you sure you want to advertise the fact ... could lead to you being back-billed :p

U using a Vodafone phone??

Sorry to disappoint you - but i've got no special settings... no fancy hacks... just the good old fashioned internet APN

I guess now they will ask you to payback all that free data, and anyone else that was as lucky as you!!!:D
 
Also Getting Free Data!

Using a Nokia 6680 and VLive!. Also on Family Top Up. BROWSING FOR FREE!!! Downloaded a 9mb file on my phone with R0.00 in my account just to prove it.

However, if I use the phone as a modem for my PC then money is deducted from my account. (doens't make sense)

Will I be billed for the data at the end of the month? Is anybody else experiencing this?

Vodacom3G - you should have told us that Vodacom is now pricing data at R0.00/mb on Family top up.

Vodacom decided to take data pricing to the extreme expected by the user community, and especially the forum, and will now charge a flat rate of R0/Mb for the first 50Gb per month.

Are you sure it is 50Gb per month and not 50MB per month? If it is 50Gb per month then I'm sure everybody I know will use Vodacom as their Internet Service Provider.

50Gigs is this a typo m8 cause surely that is to much b4 charging ne1:eek:

To be eligible for a Darwin award you must be removed from the gene pool.

You don't need to die, although most nominees get this right. Merely having the relevant bits removed (typically involving some ripping action) also qualifies you.

As long as you can't pass your genes on, you're nomination material.....:)
