FREE Local (South African Based) Proxy Server!

In an effort to once again give a little back to the community, OpenWeb has decided to give away FREE local based proxy access for those that have reached their caps.

Our Proxy servers are based in Durban and Johannesburg, and you will be assigned one according to where you live.

Please note, at first, these proxies will be limited to browsing, and emailing...but we are working on expanding its capabilities.....(use the imagination!)

I am currently in the process of testing out 2 of the servers, and if you are interested in helping out, please just reply to this thread. I will be selecting about 7 people for the initial tests. (So if your capped, at least you can have a couple of good international surfing sessions before the end of the month!)

Are the donation servers sorted out at least?

I lost interest in the site cause it seems to be up and down like a yoyo.

Everything has been stabalised, as promised, and bandwidth upgraded.

OH wile we're on the free subject - Can it be used to Surf / Chat / Download Anonymously, if not, are there free local options ? I for one would love to log onto IRC with my Addy Saying something like [email protected] ;)

This would be great for me, for when i get a project for school, and im capped..

At least ill still be able to get info.

I will be issuing some access today, so that at least you will be able to do some surfing on your last capped day :)

With our upcoming services, gaming should become an absolute pleasure here in South Africa! Announcement soon to come.....

Hey guys.

Just a quick update on the FREE SA Proxy.

I am doing another test tonight from 18:00 until tomorrow 10:00am.
