Free LPIC-2 Beta Exams

Leon - any idea when they'll do a free LPIC3 beta like this? I'd be interested in taking part in that.

Hi

I will of course advise as I did with the LPIC2 beta, but for now there is no info for free LPIC-3 exams being hosted at the moment.

Hey Leon, I take it one has to already hold an LPIC-1 Certification?

You can write the LPIC exams in any order. You just wont be acknowledged as having the certification UNTIL you pass the pre-requisite exam (the level below).

Hi yes that is correct you can write the LPIC-2 exam and your marks will be held but you will not be issued the certification until you pass the LPIC-1...

Anyone get their results yet?

OCT 15 was the CPT date. Marking was supposed to take 2 weeks, but its been 4 weeks now with zero feedback.

Seems Jumping Bean are ignoring emails (whilst still sending out marketing) as well...

Hi jsheed_sa,

Thanks for inquiring. I don't think you are on the mailing list which our marketing people have been using to communicate with candidate that wrote the exam. As far as I remember you have LPIC2 already so didn't sign up nor write the exam? Let me know if I am incorrect on this.

If you had been on the list you would have received the comms that LPI HQ is waiting for all the exams across the globe to be completed before marking. This is unfortunately taking some time. The usual turn around is 2 weeks. Please send your contact details via our contact form if you wish to be included in the comms.

Hi mxc

Please advise, how do I get onto the mailing list? I am also waiting for the results. Jumping Beans said
late December, and LPI said late November or early December, which left me confused.

Thanks in advance.

I know 4-5 people on the list that haven't received their results either. Results have been delayed several times, communication is lacking (to the point that emails have been ignored). Honestly it just looks and sounds like a bit of a **** show.

Even if the blame lies solely on LPI's shoulders it's still not a great advertisement for Jumping Bean.

Thanks Jsheed_sa,at least I know I am not the only one,was starting to worry that maybe I am the only one. Hopefully we get a feedback soon. Hope you had a blessed xmas, and wishing you a happy New Year in advance.

I see Jumping Bean finally replied.

Still no results, but now people are being told to just wait on LPI indefinitely...

EXAM DATE: OCT 15
RESULTS PROMISED: END OCT
RESULTS DELAYED: END DEC
RESULTS DELAYED: INDEFINITELY

This is the 3rd delay. It's a piss poor showing and communication has been horrendous from both parties.

I definitely wouldn't consider doing my LPIC3 through Jumping Bean...

Hi there

LPI Level 2 Beta Exams - Results and Certification by LPI

Happy New Year to you and yours for 2017!

As per our previous correspondence, the following information from LPI HQ:

Participants will receive the normal score report via email; and an additional email will follow in case they passed exam.
A formal letter with certification will follow if they passed exam.

Unfortunately the time delay is mainly due to compiling the exams all over the world; and they received 15,201 LPI201 exam papers and 17,202 LPI202 exam papers.

The results will be forwarded to you directly by LPI, as well as your Certification. If we do receive a copy as well, I will advise you accordingly.
If possible, please confirm with us when you receive the results.

Thank you again for participating in this endeavor!

Best of Luck for the results!
And hoping you will come back to Jumping Bean to write your LPI Level 3 exams!

Regards

Has anyone received their results, and are they happy and trust that the score they got was from their answer sheet?
Somehow I felt screwed knowing how much effort I put into those exams and the scores I got are not a reflection of
how I performed. And I am supposed to trust that this was from my answer sheet, not someone else's . The computerised
exams are much better, you know straight away your results and no chance of contesting it.

3 colleagues have received their results so far. Results came through today. Nobody passed and all got low results.

I've never done the beta exams myself, although I have passed LPIC2. Although I did my exam (via VUE) on a PC though.

Personally I think the whole beta exams was a f..kup from the get go,why it's took such a long time to process? And the reception one got from LPI was pathetic. From now on,I will look to doing RHCA/RHCE or LFS. Never ever going to do any LPI courses. Something about this whole beta exam sh.t does not add up. The whole thing should have been computerised. But that's my opinion. Thanks jsheed_sa for all the help, and sharing information.

No problem.

Personally I've got LPI and RH certs.

I far prefer / value the RH certs and don't intend on paying for another LPIC certification either.

If I end up doing LPIC3 it will be through the beta program as I certainly don't intend on paying for it after this **** show.
