Very likely - same reason I'm still getting spammed by Cell C after porting. Laziness on their part. I just hope the interconnect fees are hitting them.

It is that exact scenario that led me the above statement. I also get offers from Cell C for being loyal - on the number I ported far far away from them.

Aren't those just normal twitter ads?
I get that MTN notification on my desktop & my ISP has no relation to MTN.
