I have an HD PVR decoder and from what I've read, you cannot receive free to air channels like GodTV and Kruiskyk on it.

Would I be able to view these channels if I connected a normal decoder via extraview and viewed the channels from that decoder?

Any advice appreciated.

AFAIK the 1110, 1131 & 1132 don't support extra networks.
Your best bet is to get an older decoder & subscribe to easy view or whatever its called (R20 a month) and then add the FOA channels on there

I had Kruiskyk running on my 1131 and bought a HD pvr last week. Planning to install the twin lnb this weekend and setting up xtra view. Will give feedback if it still works afterwards.

Xtraview shouldn't affect it. hmm, maybe its just the PVRs that don't support extra networks

The Public Bouquets - Free to Air - can only be accessed on a NON HD Decoder - which means all SingleView models or on the old DualView or SD-PVR (not sure about the latest ones though).

I did do a posting here a year or two ago on how to set up ALL the free to air channels on these models:

http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/241992-Free-to-Air-DSTV-settings

Also read my later postings there for the UPDATES to the settings - they were changed after my original posting!

I hope this helps you out!
