I've used 7zip for many years and not once had a failed extraction. Seems weird that you had problems.

Depends on where you get the archives from I guess. If you only get good ones then I guess 7zip is fine, but I've got more confidence in Winrar when it comes to flakey archives.

In fairness...these are .rar archives I'm talking about so not exactly fair. Still...I just need it to work regardless of fair.
