"Free" Vodacom Internet!

it seems as if vlive apn is not charging again, did Vodacom do a system roll back or something?

Vodacom is currently moving systems in and out of production and while this might create windows of non-billing, often referred to as 'free-internet' no such service is intended and these windows will dissapear without prior warning and normal billing will resume. I am going to laugh my @ss off when that 'window' of opportunity closes and you get a R4000 bill at the end of the month. Please let us know how it works out for you, ok?

Now I'm getting charged for vlive my understanding was browsing the vlive portal was free I browse vlive with the phones built in browser and anything else with opera mini which is set to default to vodacom GPRS what gives ?
 
Dont know. Who actualy uses Vodacrap?? They are the ***est network out there. MTN Forever!!!!
 
Looks like vodacom is to dumb to fix it now. Maybe over a year or so when they got the snot out of their noses it wil be fixed!!
 
This has been one H*ll of a read, its rather a VC bashing thread. Cant blame VC for closing the loop holes, its all about shareholders and profits, thats just the way things work. Yea, free internet would be great but this is the real world and I guess we have to adapt.
Been interesting to learn about diging holes and putting fibres in them. I did just that, dug a long sloot in my back yard, filled it with old fibres, now I am just waiting for my internet to be free :)

I don't think he is using it. Virgin is much better and cheaper. I think the karma has caught up with Vodacom, after abusing their customers for ten years on end they finally got a taste of payback.

You missed the part about them being optical and having them connected. :p

and i guess he uses both connections, if not more, quite a good idea i must say, having backups if one of ur free net doesnt work
