Free WiFi hotspots

They already offer free wi-fi but only like a couple of megs everyday and different amounts at different locations.

But we'll see how this new idea goes. You just need a couple of guys downloading flatout during quiet times or abuse the connection through other options and we'll see another article here saying due to bla bla bla it's not viable...
 
I like almost anything that has anything remotely related to the word "free."

I was at a Spur tonight and bored witless while my lil one was bouncing around in the play area. I see a small sign on the door. Free wifi and I think yeah, right.:D
So I whip out my phone, grab the redbutton wifi connection and oopsie I'm on a Spur/redbutton page. So far not so good.
Then I find I need a voucher. But first I need a waiter. Then the waiter is clueless and off he goes and about 10 min later comes back with a cheap laminated piece of printed paper giving me 20MB. I could just kiss him.:D
In goes the number. Nothing happens. 10 minutes manager comes and gives me another voucher. Nothing happens. Then comes back with a 3rd voucher, says he phoned them and bingo I'm in. But if I close the window I'm booted off. Oh. Ok so I go to google and look up a fax to email service, sign up in all of 2 min then I switch my search and the wifi connection is lost. Hey I'm in a hotspot :mad: So I've wasted about 30min for 2 mins connection. I look at the small print on the voucher card " Recommended to have a Redbutton account" and "This voucher may not be sold."
Heck. 2O mb anyone? All offers considered. I don't suppose I'll be able to even give this away:D

lol, free wifi always has it's catches. Nothin is really free nowadays, and if it is free, you better look out for the catch.
