Got a phone call this afternoon from a lady saying she is from iBurst. Saying from Friday on my month-to-month Freeflow package will not work and that I need to change to a new package.
Is this true? (Nothing on iBurst website) (Call center the normal...........long time......... no answer!)

Freeflow is a legacy package. The alternatives are Prepaid or Wireless Start. The problem is that many systems functions like migrations, terminations or VAS don't work prompting a campaign to align the packages to be better supported.

whats a free flow package?

Well I for 1 am quite TICKED OFF about the call I got this morning saying its being discontinued.
Start is even MORE expensive when you consider that the initial 40meg costs R49 and it STILL has expensive data charges. Prepaid - the other option - just has expensive data charges.
At least on Freeflow you had 10 meg free which was cool to use on the road with my USB modem (in conjunction with the 1Gig package I have on the desktop modem...)

You can put the USB modem on your other package.

How long does 10MB last???

Ok well that's better than signing up for yet another package... Thanks for the info!

1.What happen if I do nothing? (I have +- 700MB left on my Freeflow.)
2.Will iBurst move me automatically to Prepaid or Wireless Start?

r00igev@@r I hope you can help?
Based on all this I contacted Busi - the person who called me in connection with the package ending - to request that the modem that was on the Freelow account be moved and linked to my other Iburst account (as per your comments AND based on my understanding that Freeflow was ending within days).
She says I have to give ONE MONTH'S NOTICE???!!!?? WTF???? After Iburst tell me they are canning the package I must still GIVE A MONTH'S NOTICE???
And what makes it worst is that yesterday evening I sat and blew through the data I had on the package so it wouldn't go to waste on Friday so now I can't even use it on the old account.
UNBELIEVABLE!!
