FreeMe 1Gb and SmartPlan 50 questions

Good day,

Regarding the FreeMe 1Gb:
- can I add an additional all network voice minutes bundle, and what options are available?

Regarding the SmartPlan 50:
- can I add an additional all networks internet bundle, and what options are available?

The Telkom Voice minutes are available for prepaid and is pretty well priced actually.

I do see the option to buy these bundles as a extra on my LTE data contract so I'm not sure if it is indeed available on the Smartplan but I'm sure it should be available but can't confirm it but it is available on the LTE data contract.

Regarding FreeMe Question: Would like to know myself. But if there is an option, like with SmartPlan, to set a fixed amount allowed to go over, then I'll probably take that, because OOB call rate isn't that bad.

Regarding SmartPlan Question, "All networks Internet Bundle"??? What do you mean. On SmartPlan 50, you get 500MB and you can use this while roaming on MTN's network too.

I like the Smartplan 100 oppose to the FreeMe 1GB. As you get 1GB and 100 minutes all network voice calls, as with the FreeMe, you only get 1GB and only Telkom2Telkom free calls.

Do you have a link for the smartplan 50 info?
Telkom site doesn't show a 500mb internet bundle attached to that package.

In the August 2016 edition of the printed Telkom brochure, the SmartPlan 50 only includes 75Mb. I want to add an additional 1Gb

I was also looking at the SmartPlan 100, but currently, they only give 150MB of data.

I'm basically trying to find a package that will give me 1GB of data, and 50 any network voice minutes. On my current Telkom data plan, I can buy once-off all network voice minute bundles where 50 minutes costs R34, and a once-off 1GB data bundle for R99. I'm juts wondering if this is available on the FreeMe 1Gb and SmartPlan 50 packages, and can I add it as a reoccurring bundle?
 
You are able to purchase the 50 all-network minutes and the 1gb once-off all network bundle on the FreeMe 1gb as well as the SmartPlan 50 contract.

The FreeMe 1gb does not include all-network minutes, it includes calls to Telkom Mobile and Telkom Fixed Line(Landline) and 1gb data.

The SmartPlan 50 includes 50 minutes and 75mb data.
 
SOB :mad: , just went to their site, seems they removed the data from the Smartplans. It was there, before the FreeMe stuff came up.
Shait, I need to upgrade now, was thinking of staying on the Smartplan, but without the data it's not the same anymore. Got three contracts on Smartplan, 1 expires now and 2 next year.

EDIT: The FreeMe is almost the same as the Smartplans was in the past, only difference is free phone calls to Telkom numbers and minus the all network minutes.

Cool. Do you know what the prices are, or are they the same across packages?

Then I load money on my account I receive free airtime which I use to make calls to the other networks. The only drawback is that the free airtime is only valid for 7 days.
 
the all-network minutes and all net data bundles are the same price across all packages.
 
I had a online chat with one of the Telkom reps regarding the data on the SmartPlan 50:

3:47:52 PM You: How much data is included with the SmartPlan 50?

3:48:25 PM Busisiwe: 75MB +500MB recurring.

3:48:52 PM You: Ok, so thats 575 MB in total per month?

3:49:01 PM Busisiwe: Yes.

3:49:20 PM You: And if I sign up for a 24 month contract that will stay that way for the full term?

3:49:39 PM Busisiwe: *Correct*

I also checked on pg 39 of the printed brochure, and it states under SmartPlan: "2. Includes an additional 500MB on SmartPlan 50 and an additional 1GB on SmartPlan 100." :)

Yep have a smartplan 100 with 150mb (but 1gb for device) so its been perfect for my teen.
Freeme great for data but missing the all network calls but guess whatsapp make up for it

Additional 1gb was for device but seems removed now?

I got the 1gig on two sim only deals too.

Positive it stated additional 1gb for device only. Explains why now missing from smartplans. Yours different promo probably earlier or stuff up by telkom
 
Just came from my local Telkom shop, and they confirmed that there is no more extra data on the SmartPlans, thus the brochure is in error :wtf:
