Hey guys

I'm on the 20GB package, loving is thus far, but have a question about which apps are zero rated.

I have been monitoring my mobile usage, and what I am seeing on the Telkom app doesn't agree with what I have used. Today I formatted my phone and loaded a custom ROM, after which I loaded around 300MB of apps from PlayStore. When checking my data balance after this, it showed I had only used about 50MB data.

Is the Telkom app/website just very slow to update, or are there more apps which have been zero rated? I am aware of WhatsApp, Viber and a few other messaging apps, but nothing else.

Hi Sparky,

We can only confirm for WhatsUp & viper for now.

It could be that there are many that are zero rated but we are not yet updated about them.

Kind regards

Apologies for hijacking the thread;
I use whatsapp voice calling a lot to talk to people overseas, once I use the 2Gb allocation for Whatsapp calls, what happens next...does it get deducted from my 20GB [i hope so:)] or will I have to buy another bundle [:(]?

I'm pretty sure it will start coming out of your 20GB. Data is data. No OOB shark on TM
