Hi AH,

My ADSL line was been virtually unusable since last Friday. I logged a ticket and the agents I have dealing with have been very friendly and polite, but the problem persists 6 days later. My router is syncing at 0.8Mbps rendering the connection pretty useless. SNR is terrible. My line was great until Thursday/Friday last week.

Could someone please assist with this? I've sent a PM to Afrigenie last night, but no response yet. Could one of the agents here please assist by dropping me a PM?

AfriGenie is generally a rockstar when it comes to PM's, so I am sure you'll get a rely from him.

We definitely want to try to sort this out for you. If you connection stats are very poor, it might be due to a recent event that has degraded the quality of the infrastructure, or otherwise we sometimes see lines that degrade over time and suddenly fall below a minimum standard for a stable connection. We'll need to troubleshoot and engage with Openserve for them to investigate.

Let me ask AfriGenie to get on this and reply to your PM ASAP :(

Thanks Afriman.

I believe Telkom just rocked up at my place a few minutes ago. Let's see what comes of that.

Hi Afriman,

I was not here when they pitched up so I'm not sure what went down. They sent me an SMS saying the ticket has been resolved. Its not though, my sync is 2.5Mbps and speed test barely gets me over 1Mbps (I have a 4Mbps line)

Just ran the line test on your website. The line is looking a LOT better in terms of SNR and the other tests it runs. However, sync is still only established @ 2.559Mbps.

Glad to hear your line has been worked on. :) Sounds like we just need to up the line sync profile. Drop me a PM with your info and I'll log a request with Openserve.

Issue is resolved - thanks a lot for the support, Afrifella.
