Word on the street is this Girl gets the best fish from the boats. She has a deli in woodstock but will deliver for a small fee. Availability differs from week to week depending what wx conditions are like (ie wind = No feesh)
today's stock for example:

Yellowfin Tuna: pole caught, sushi grade: R165/kg (The deep red one)
Longfin Tuna: R110/kg, pole caught (the pale pink one)
Hake: R70/kg
Angelfish: R70/kg
Norwegian Salmon: R225/kg

Fish fingers: R45 per pack (home made, cook from frozen, perfect for little ones)
Fishcakes: R50/6

How much to deliver to jozi? So hard to get fresh seafood at a decent price...

Too much red meat and donkey.. *sigh*

I love Tuna so much. Abzo I will come and stay with you in Kaapstad and you can cook me some seafood,

I presume the Norwegian Salmon, fishfingers and fishcakes are not FOB ?
 
Tuna is the easiest thing ever to cook. Sear it on either side and you're done!

Makes it all the more delicious. Let me tell you SASSI is a scam foisted on us normal Saffers who are now paying via guilt for years and years of exported fish (which we seldom ever got to eat unless we caught it ourselves) and no policing of the Chinese, Japanese and Spanish plundering our waters.

And - I am not moaning, I am pointing out facts.
 
If you guys really want to know "fresh" go to Muizenberg on a Saturday morning. I went there last year and paid 20 bucks for a moerse snoek. You can get any seafood there (well any which is catchable in our waters anyway).

Just walk around on the harbour there, you'll be amazed :)
