Fresh Feesh for Capies

If you guys really want to know "fresh" go to Muizenberg on a Saturday morning. I went there last year and paid 20 bucks for a moerse snoek. You can get any seafood there (well any which is catchable in our waters anyway).

Just walk around on the harbour there, you'll be amazed :)

You mean Kalk bay harbour. Boats come in daily around lunchtime (if I am not mistaken) Not everyone likes snoek though, and the other fish are quickly packed into the Corporate fishing co's Cold Vans.
But yeah you do get common variety from time to time from the sellers under the concrete awning as they clean and gut ...but if you are not careful you'll get ripped off as I once discovered driving a hire car with GP plates when sending someone off in search of a Cape salmon or some such. Such an easy mark.

Tuna is the easiest thing ever to cook. Sear it on either side and you're done!

30 seconds a side in a smoking pan. Nothing beats a properly seared tuna steak.
Man I miss living in Durban, used to go to fish market in springfield park that had awesome tuna for really good prices.

Is that the one just before Emam Bux?

I have never been there but now that you tell me they have tuna I will definitely pay them a visit.

would make my life soooo much easier!

How does she get Norwegian Salmon from local fishing boats? Is this fish found in our coastal waters as well?

Something smells fishy. Maybe it's ocean farmed salmon imported from norway but I highly doubt you get them here.

No thanks! That wasabi or whatever they call it almost knocked me the fsck out. Told myself I'll never eat seafood again...apart from fish :p
