My plumbed in Samsung (piece of rubbish) has an internal Gas leak and is unrepairable.

I’m looking at the Siemens iQ500 can get it at tafelberg for 30k.

Specifically I’m looking for a fridge freezer combo that is plumbed.

Anyone have the fridge to comment on or what would you suggest to look at?

Gonna try insurance, but I’m not especially hopeful.

Ice and water on demand has become a luxury I can’t live without unfortunately. I’m fortunate enough to have funds to get it.

Would like some suggestions since this isn’t an annual purchase but probably one once every 10-15 years.

A friend of mine got a new fridge a few years back from insurance no problem
He waited for the perfect day
There was a MASSIVE rainy storm in Somerset West
The one where trees blow over, sub stations get knocked out etc

His claim the following day went through no problems at all

I would get two freestanding fridge and freezer if I had the money.

Bosch Series 4 Free-standing Upright Freezer and a Fridge.

Not sure if it has ice maker ones.

Turns out one of my chest freezers is also a defy.

I have this one not the same but I can tell you the Siemens are dream fridges. This thing is also 30w an hour. Doubt you would be disappointed
