Fridge freezer advice?

Would like some suggestions since this isn’t an annual purchase but probably one once every 10-15 years.

I like to think of appliances and other "one-off" costs as subscriptions.

If you amortise R 30k every 10 years you get something like R 250/month or more like R 350+ if you account for opportunity cost and whatnot.

Personally, R 200-300 per month is too much for just a fridge. It's probably what I pay for my entire kitchen.

But if you sleep in your fridge or it takes you on holiday, or entertains the kids then maybe.

Turns out one of my chest freezers is also a defy.

chest freezers you cant go wrong with defy..there is very little others who make chest freezers also

My father still has a 30 year old KIC Fridge .

I bought one in 2019. Packed up a month ago. The quality of things today is far inferior than a decade ago.

Anyway my point is stay away from KIC.
