Good evening hope you all keeping warm friends I need advice as usually. The is this girl she claim we friends cool we are friends. I'm going to be honest she has never asked me for financial help. She get paid on the 15th and I get paid on 25th the was a time my monthly budget was bit messed up. I asked her to borrow me money R100 she came up with stories that she already have plans.

Second time I asked her to borrow me money she said she does not have cash on her. Today around 18:00 I went to our shopping center to buy pizza at debonairs when I got there they said the don't have boxes. Oh well I got into my car went home around 18:50 she whatsapp me we chatting cool no stress, she tell me she is at debonairs buying pizza they have boxes now. I said she must buy me pizza I will wait for her at the bus stop I got the money. I swear she told me she already left she can't go back I'm like seriously I will pay you I got the money. She refused she said she is driving she can't go back.

It's not the first time doing something like that. So I'm starting to wonder if indeed she is my friend. I have helped her in the past when she was sick and I helped her when she was going for job interview. I have never borrowed anything from her and never return it. Funny things she does borrow other people money but when it's me it's a different story.

Maybe she was telling the truth.
Maybe she just doesn't want to lend you money.

I'm sure you can think of other reasons why she's a good friend, unless the entire friendship hinges on whether she'll buy you pizza or lend you money.

But this time was not borrowing money I was saying buy me pizza, I will give you there money when you get here. If I had borrowed something from here and never return it I would understand.

She doesn't want to see you bro

I also say no to certain people when I "detect" a habitually needy/borrowing type person.
Don't be that person.

But your own pizza. Plan your finances better.

I was not saying she must buy me pizza I said since I was there early and they had problems with boxes. Buy me pizza I will give her the money when she get here. Borrowing money it was January I'm sure we all know January month will humble you.

It's easy. You phone the pizza place /Mr Delivery and tell them you want to order a pizza for delivery.

OP, if I had only your worries in life, I would feel blessed.
Hahaha, nothing like perspective.

Sounds like she's trying the old one way street trick, I'd ask her straight up what the go is, ie why she doesn't appear to trust you but be prepared in advance to lose a "friend".

Then again she may just be a person that has been ripped off many times in the past and her hard and fast rule when it comes to money is no and it's nothing personal.

There is a difference between a friend and an a acquaintance. She has you in the acquaintance category. Obviously. A friend might take you a few years for you to become.
She is being clear about that. The more you want to stuff from her the less chance you will have of becoming her friend.

If she'd already left the pizza place and was driving home why should she turn back? Her pizza would be getting cold while she waited for yours.
