I just thought I would share this experience with anyone who wanted to know. On Thursday my sentech modem fell and the arial broke. After the intital shock and horror I phoned sentech and were referred to the Nowire/Sentech office in La Lucia Durban to hand it in to be repaired but.. they were only open on Monday. Going from 24/7 internet to Zero is quite a huge change. From surfing the web to .. nothing... though I was so bored I actually managed to get some stuff done.
So this morning I made the trip to La Lucia to the office. I was helped by a lovely lady Denise who explained the situation that the modem would have to be delivered to Sentech in Gauteng to be repaired, at a cost of R600 (which, unknowingly, was the amount I had exactly). The people were very helpful and also arranged a loan modem for me to use in the 6-8 weeks it takes for the broken modem to be repaired. So here I sit typing this with my loan modem from Sentech, who actually made the situation go from bad to better.
