So today I was told my front cross member is bent, I need to take the car to a panelbeater. I remember few months back I hit couple of potholes the was nowhere to dodge them. I'm trying to claim through insurance I don't know if I will be helped. We all know how insurance roll I just hope they come through for me.

Anyone with information can please tell me how much roughly does front cross member cost and what else I need to know. Can it be repaired or will have to get a new one.

The front cross-member is an integral & crucial part of the entire front suspension continuing to operate safely & also for the right geometry & alignment of the front wheels to be maintained.

Better to err on the side of caution (and safety) and get it replaced with a new factory replacement part as soon as possible, rather than trying to attempt a hodge-podge or backyard repair with no guarantees of maintaining the structural & metallurgical integrity of this vital component afterwards.
